INSTALLING A STRONG NEW BASE
Once the roof was stripped, we fitted a brand-new OSB 18mm plywood base. This provided a solid and reliable structure capable of supporting the new layers to come. The fresh timber not only added strength but also improved stability across the surface, ensuring the next stage of the installation would be carried out on a firm and even foundation.
COMPLETE WITH A DURABLE FELT FINISH
After preparing the base, we applied a blowtorch underlay followed by a high-quality top-lay felt system finished in charcoal. This combination delivered a watertight seal that protected the property from further water ingress while giving the roof a clean, modern look.
